Hey Karen, just wanted to say that I LOVE the new header banner thingy whatchamacalit but didn’t want to get thrown in with the comments to enter the giveaway.
I just stumbled upon your site and spent nearly an hour looking through your posts. As a college student who likes to eat and drink more than Ramen and Beer, you’ve gotten a new regular reader!
just found your site thru pioneer woman cooks. very nice. love the printable recipe, and the way you can delete the pics you don’t wont. Only problem with that is the directions are under each pic, ideally I would like the finished product at top of recipe with recipe to follow. I am one of those that prints an saves recipes for future use.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve started doing a small finished product shot at the top of some posts and I’m still working out a new recipe format. Just not sure yet how I want to do it.
Without a grill, I think I’d do it on the stovetop. Just heat a little bit of oil in a large skillet and cook the chicken almost like you would on a grill. Brown it on each side, lower the heat a bit and continue cooking until it’s done. Spoon the extra sauce on as it cooks.
One of the prettiest foods sights I have seen so far! For some reason you look familiar to me, but not sure why!? I just moved from Sarasota, but not sure where you are in FL. Anyway, I just FB’d your sight on to a bunch of friends who love to cook and I am sure they will love it too! Am getting ready to make the Orange Mojitos now!
I did and then left town and haven’t had the chance to set it up yet. I can’t wait to try it out! I’m also getting a new lens…. just need to decide what it is going to be You have inspired me
Hi! Got some error messages hiel trying to respond to your blog. Tried to e-mail you about it, and have a Yahoo mailer Daemon saying :

Hi Karen,
I ran across your site when I tried googling raspberry wine recipes. I love your site. The pictures are outstanding and your recipes are so different anything I’ve seen. I love your originality. Kudos to you!
Thank you for this blog. My mother hates everything that I cook, BUT she loved the three recipes I have tried from your blog (fettucini carbonara w/ roasted tomatoes, spaghetti and sausage and the beef barley soup). She has designated them all “keepers”. You have saved me a lot of tension headaches around mealtime. THANK YOU.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I’m thrilled that your mom is enjoying your cooking. Keep poking around, trying new things and adapting them as you like and maybe she’ll like more than three things!
I just love your site! I just came across it and have been browsing through your recipes….at last, real, everyday cooking that can’t be found in my many cookbooks. Simple pantry items we already have on hand or at least don’t have to go to a specialty store to find it and food our whole family will enjoy. Thank you!!!

Thanks Charlotte, and welcome. I’m so glad you’re here. As I’ve said before, most recipes are mainly inspiration and not a set-in-stone set of instructions. I hope you find ideas that you can put to good use with the ingredients you have and in ways that your family will enjoy.

Amazing! Makes things so much easier with the pictures step by step. Little request: more pasta dishes please!!! Amazing.
Thanks! Pasta is such a staple around here that I can’t go long without yet another pasta dish.
I love your site!!! Is there anyway to subscribe to your site by email?
You should be able to get the RSS feed in your inbox? I’m working on a direct email subscription.
Hi Karen,
As you know I love your site! Are you by any chance on Flickr too?
I am, at least occasionally.
Did you get your Alien Bee yet?
I did and then left town and haven’t had the chance to set it up yet. I can’t wait to try it out! I’m also getting a new lens…. just need to decide what it is going to be
