Another pressed sandwich experiment that’s going to stay as a favorite. I used Havarti here but Brie makes a nice addition too.
- Deli-sliced Ham
- Pears, ripe and soft
- Havarti and/or Brie, sliced
- Honey Mustard
Slice the pears. There’s no need to peel them first.Cut each loaf of bread into quarters and then slice each piece open but don’t cut all the way through.Spread on a generous amount of honey mustard.Stuff with ham, cheese and a few pear slices.Place on a hot griddle or skillet and press firmly with a spatula or, like I do, the flat lid from a large pot. Let them heat up for a few minutes, turn them over and press again. Cook them long enough that the ham is heated and the cheese melts.Serve warm.
