To celebrate OLITK’s first anniversary and our brand-spanking new look, I’m doing my very first giveway.
Summer is here and it’s time for fresh, fruity summery cocktails. Nothing fits the description better than a classic Mojito, served in a tall, icy glass. My favorite glasses (and my favorite mojitos) are from Columbia Restaurant. These pretty green-tinted glasses are tall and sturdy, just perfect for serving all kinds of cool and fruity refreshment. One lucky reader will win a set of four.

Yes, I can count. I know there are only three here. One of mine was broken but the winner will get a set of four. Maybe I’ll order a replacement for myself too.

They’re also perfect for delicious Orange Mojitos. What will you serve in them?
Want a set? It’s easy! Just leave a comment and tell me what beverages you’ll be serving this summer. That’s it. One winner will be chosen at random on June 6, 2010.

Those glasses are beautiful. I’m looking forward to serving refreshing margaritas and strawberry lemonade this summer!
Oh, those are cute! I would make my all time fav, mango mojitos! Your orange mojitos sound fab too though.
HOW FUN!I love these glasses as they happen to be in my fav color. I am planning on making my watermelon margaritas again along with Raspberry-Lime Coolers and Strawberry Mint Mojitos. Oh and maybe some sangria too!! I sound like a boozer. LOL Thanks for the nice giveaway! noellsky (at) gmail (dot) com
Hi Karen! I love those glasses! Green might just be my favorite color. I think I’ll serve some classic margaritas in them.
My favorite summer beverage is something very fruity. Sex on the Beach with Captain Morgan Spiced Rum instead of the Vodka. My favorite recipe for it is 1 1/2 oz Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, 1 1/2 oz Peach Schnapps, 2 oz Cranberry Juice, 2 oz Pineapple Juice and 2 oz Orange juice. Shake it all up and pour over ice! It’s yummy but a little dangerous because you can’t really taste the alcohol : ) I figure it’s got to be healthy with 3 servings of fruit in it!
I can’t believe it has been a year. I really enjoy “Our Life in the Kitchen” and look forward to your postings. Thank you for entertaining us and offering wonderful gastronomique ideas. The glasses would be perfect for the pomegranate mojitos or chambord margaritas that I enjoy!
oh! These remind me of summers spent in portland! I would certainly fill then with strawberry mojitos and watermelon coolers!
In those lovely glasses I would serve Mimosa’s in the morning and Sangria in the afternoon. The biggest decision will be whether to serve white or red Sangria!
Mmm margaritas of all kinds would look beautiful in those! I look forward to some homemade lemonade spiked with tequila

Oh Mojitos are always on my summer list! Hey, when you grow mint ya gotta have a good use for it, right? What better way than a mojito?! I think I drank more of them last summer than in my entire life LOL – sure could use some nice glasses. I’m sure I’ll make my trusty frozen vodka slush and frozen watermelon margaritas, classic margaritas, and maybe a Tom Collins or two, oh and of course some summer sangria too! I’m sure I have a few more under my belt that’ll show up. I am not loyal to any one summer drink!!

Since we have some Cachaca straight from Rio, we would probably christen them with traditional Mojitos. Then I would definitely want to try the orange Mojito. That looks absolutely yummy! Martha

Would love to try to make Bellini’s. These glasses look like the perfect opportunity to give it a go.
Mmmmm.. brazilian lemonade
The two best in the world: Sweet Potatoe Margaritas(equal parts frozen lime aid and tequilla, 7 up and corona)and Lime-aid mixed with cheap champagne. Both are awesome and I haven’t met a person who doesn’t like them
My roommate and I already have a head start on the summer margaritas!
I think we’ll be drinking Tickled Pink Tropical Iced Teas…created by our friend Greg (@sippitysup) and we’ll be drinking Espresso Martini’s, limoncello, sangria, & mojitos! Just not all at once!
We believe in “theme-ing” the summer with a signature drink! This summer is the Tickled Pink Tea!
Cheers! Chris Ann & Kristin
Lots and lots of half ‘n half! LOL That’s what we call lemonade and ice tea together! ~ Very refreshing on a hot summer day!
